Sky Media UK in Thame operates as a sales, marketing, logistics and technical helpline/repair service.
Sky Media UK are a small team (18 people) servicing the needs of our retail customers as well as supporting end user customers with Technical support and repairing / replacing faulty TV's. Outstanding customer service is key for our continued growth and development.
We currently have the following opportunities.
Job Opportunities
Technical Support / Repair Engineer
Day to Day tasks include:-
Repairing of LCD & Plasma TVs
Repairing LCD & LED TVs from 15” to 46”, some with built-in Freeview or DVD player
Board and major part swap outs
Keeping customers updated
Advising customers on the status of the repair
Provide customers with details of the repair and date of return
Additional tasks include:-
1st contact for customer calls
Take customer details and enter into database (Access and Excel)
Logging calls and reasons for calls in order to identify where improvements in products can be made
Assist with the technical queries – resolving or pass through to the technical team
After fault analysis by the technical team you will arrange collections with customers
Technical Support
Provide technical information for Retail Stores
Provide technical support for end users – explaining how to get the best use out of their products
Collections for customers
Arranging the collection from the customers home or work place with our carrier
Following up failed collections
Complete paperwork for the return shipment back to customer
General Duties
Managing the warehouse & tidiness
Stock takes as required
General Cleaning
The ideal candidate will be of smart appearance, confident & pleasant on the Telephone and should have experience repairing electrical products or a keen interest in electrical products. History of repairing TVs would be an advantage.
An induction training program will be provided during at the start of employment with regular reviews thereafter.
Hours of Employment are on a rota system after training as follows:
Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5.00pm, 9.00am – 5.30pm or 9.30am to 6pm and Saturdays 9am – 5pm on a rota
(Typically, 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 Saturdays)
Bank Holidays are currently 10am – 5pm.
Typically, 5 day working week.
28 days holiday entitlement (including Bank Holidays)
Full training is given.
